AFAR helped the community of Vaitahu restore their ancient dance ground for a landmark performing arts festival.  Together we cleared and mapped the archaeological site, a tohua koina, and rebuilt traditional Marquesan thatched-roof houses in their original locations.  Boatloads of Marquesans descended on Vaitahu for the 2006 festival.
